What do you feel is the most urgent need within our community?
"...to preserve the natural beauty of the area
and to assure present and future generations
an adequate amount of open land."
This was the response from the community in 1963 and therefore The Upper Merion Park and Historic Foundation adopted it as its mission when it was created in 1964.
The Foundation's goals have been to meet the following community needs:
- To preserve the area's cultural and historical heritage.
- To provide and preserve areas of recreation, exercise, education and aesthetic enjoyment.
Recent photos of McKaig Nature Education Center were taken by Jack Koval of Upper Merion Township's Public Works Department.
